I am currently in the planning stage for my Spring Festival trip. I don’t have as much time as I would like, so I am trying to find a place to go that doesn’t have me spending 20 hours on a plane. It is tough though because with lay-overs, hitting the 20 hour mark is rather easy. I don’t want to say any of my potential locations yet, because at this early stage, things change.

I have been running this blog for around 9 years. It has been through many iterations and changes. Changes both on my part and on technologies part. The internet has changed a lot in 9 years. Add to that the problems of uploading in a country that doesn’t like to make things easy. What you end up with (or what I have ended up with) is a back-end of the site that looks like a nightmare. Some days I think of just trashing the archives and starting fresh. Nah, too much work involved.

Late last year I went to a wedding. It was an interesting experience. Shot some film and tried not to steal the spotlight. It was hard being the only person over six feet and the only white person.

When I was in Toronto, I had the pleasure of attending a fantastic wedding party for a friend from Saskatoon. It was great to catch up with her. I am terrible with keeping up with people in Canada. I really need to work on that. Sorry to everyone that I should talk to more.

So my week in the dominican is almost done. Clayton is married and everyone had a great time. It was fantastic seeing friends that I have not seen in years. There will be many more pictures to come, but since I shoot film, these iPod photos will have so suffice.

So what happens when you head to an all-inclusive resort in Mexico with 43 friends? Crazy madness. I have to give a shout out and thanks to Mark and Alanna for the killer time and all the help over the week. It was a blast to shoot your wedding. Now to tackle the editing of […]

InTime Fashion Show

Being the only foreigner photographer has it’s advantages. First, I am taller than the Asians, so I often just shoot over their heads. Second, being a tall foreigner, the models gaze is naturally attracted to me as I stand out. Hence, my ratio of “models eyes looking into the camera” is really high. These shots […]

These shots are from the InTime Wedding Show. As the weather is finally nice again (i.e. not 35′ C) the wedding season is going to start going nuts.

Unrelated note, why do the Chinese have this fear of planning holidays in advance? In Canada I KNOW when National Day (Canada Day) is. It is the same day every year, and the stat holiday is planned a year in advance. Here, no one can plan more than a week in advance. Drives me nuts some days…
