Pollution is a beautiful double-edged sword. It makes me cough mucous constantly, bu it provides me with some of the most killer sunsets here in Beijing. I love converse shoes. They are light, comfortable and relatively affordable. I burn through them fairly quickly though. These ones are about 6 months old and are destroyed. The heel is falling out of both shoes, the bottom is almost worn though and the insole is toast. I walk lots. Some days I will be walking for the better part of 10 hours. My shoes don’t last.

They are tearing down many of the hutongs directly across from my complex and will be putting up more and more apartments. The new subway line 6 will open up by year end and with it, people will follow.

Not like the L series, but still pretty good.  The depth of field is razor thin at minimum focus, I can’t imagine what the f1.2 would be like.

Lina and I are going to be heading to Hangzhou in a month. I can’t wait to get back to my old stomping grounds for a week. I am not looking forward to traveling during Spring Festival however. China turns into a madhouse. Almost every person in the country will be trying to go home.
